Rwanda Eyes new agriculturale export markets through IFE 2026 International Expo
The National Agricultural Export Development Board (NAEB), in partnership with export companies, is participating in an international food and beverage exhibition taking place in London, United Kingdom.
The exhibition, known as the International Food & Drink Event 2026 (IFE), brings together countries from across the globe to showcase a wide range of food and drink products. It is being held at ExCeL London from March 30 to April 1, 2026.
Rwanda’s participation is aimed at strengthening its presence on international markets while also exploring new opportunities to replace those in the Middle East, where trade has been affected by ongoing instability linked to the conflict in Iran.
Taking part in this exhibition is part of Rwanda’s broader strategy to promote value-added agricultural and livestock products, increase their visibility globally, and attract new buyers, particularly from Europe and beyond.
IFE is a major global platform that annually gathers thousands of professionals involved in food production, beverages, and tourism, offering opportunities for networking, partnerships, and business expansion.
As Rwanda continues to grow its export sector, it is increasingly seen as a strong and reliable partner in international agricultural trade.
With markets in the Middle East facing disruptions, identifying alternative markets in Europe could help Rwanda maintain export revenues and reduce the impact of global trade uncertainties.
IFE 2026 is expected to attract more than 25,000 participants from around the world.
According to figures released by the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources on December 18, 2025, Rwanda earned over $893.1 million from agricultural and livestock exports in 2025.
In the 2025/2026 fiscal year, the Ministry projects that export revenues will exceed $1 billion.
