President Kagame appoints new Ministers and Senior officials in key Government reshuffle

President Paul Kagame has appointed Dr. Telesphore Ndabamenye as the Minister of Agriculture and Animal Resources, while Dr. Solange Uwituze has been named the State Minister in the same ministry.

Minister Dr. Ndabamenye takes on new responsibilities after spending four months in the ministry as the State Minister in charge of agriculture and livestock. He replaces Dr. Mark Cyubahiro Bagabe, who had served in the position for one year.

Dr. Solange Uwituze, the newly appointed State Minister in charge of agriculture and livestock, previously served as the Acting Director General of the Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Resources Development Board (RAB).

The Head of State also appointed Dr. Usta Kayitesi as the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. She was previously a Senator and had also served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Rwanda Governance Board (RGB).

Other officials who received new appointments include Gen (Rtd) James Kabarebe, who becomes the Senior Security Advisor in the Office of the President. He takes on this new responsibility after serving as the State Minister in charge of regional cooperation in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Dr. Charles Murigande, a seasoned expert in international politics, has been appointed Senator.
